Saint Vincent de Paul

 « Charity is the cement which binds Communities to God and persons to one another... »

« [I]n the kingdom of charity, one prefers to suffer some inconvenience rather than inconvenience the neighbor.»

« We cannot better assure our eternal happiness than by living and dying in the service of the poor, in the arms of Providence, and with genuine renouncement of ourselves in order to follow Jesus Christ. »

« There is no act of charity that is not accompanied by justice or that permits us to do more than we
reasonably can. »

Happy

Blessed are those who respect my bony hands
and my feet deformed.
Blessed are those who converse with me now
although I have some difficulty to hear their words.
Blessed are those who understand that my eyes begin to fogging and my ideas to get confused.
Blessed are those who, losing time chatting with me,
still smiling.
Blessed are those who never make me observe :
"This is the third time you tell me this story".
Blessed are those who assure me they love me and I'm still good or good at something.
Blessed are those who help me live the autumn of my life...

Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
