Carrefour Pastoral de la Francophonie, Inc., is a catholic organization that welcomes all francophone immigrants, migrants and expatriates without distinction of gender, race, country of origin, ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, or political views. CPF is working exclusively for fraternal, social, religious and charitable purposes.

The mission statement of Carrefour Pastoral de la Francophonie, Inc. is "serving Francophone Immigrants of the Greater New York Area". Our organization is dedicated to :
• Serve non-English speaking immigrants, especially those from Francophone countries, experiencing language, communication, and integration barriers in the U.S., to promote integration through services and assistance.
• Organize social, cultural, educational and spiritual activities, bringing members from diverse backgrounds together to foster a sense of community and encourage peaceful interaction.
• Promote and protect shared values as well as the French language in New York.

TO MAINTAIN A FOOD PANTRY, CLOTHING AND TOY BANKS : 

Donations of groceries, clothes and toys are made by other non-profit organizations, corporations, institutions and individuals. Volunteers collect items and Carrefour redistributes them to families in need. Families are assisted based on their needs and the availability of items.


TO SUPPLY IMMIGRATION ASSISTANCE : 

Provide available referrals to immigration lawyers, orchestrate visits to detainees at immigration detention centers and relay news to their families abroad. Since many immigrants detained speak little to no English, Carrefour offers services to help in dealings with government agencies and institutions. Carrefour identifies possibilities of providing legal services to people and families detained by immigration authorities. These possibilities include engaging pro bono lawyers or finding financial assistance.


TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES : 

Establish a Scholarship fund to support the education of children in need. This program encourages education in our community providing tutoring to assist families and children from Francophone countries.


TO SUPPORT INTEGRATION FOR IMMIGRANTS : 

• Offer English courses at Notre Dame.
• Facilitate entrance at the International Center in New York, or any centers where new comers can practice English and learn about the American Culture. 
• Provide information about all English classes available in the New York area including libraries locations.


TO DELIVER SPECIAL RELIGIOUS SERVICES : 

Form alliances with already well established Church such as the Parish of Notre Dame, the Parish Holy Name of Jesus, l’aumônerie of the Lycée Français de New York and others to set up religious services for all French speaking immigrants in New York City. Carrefour supports the right of francophone Catholics to worship in French.

The following services are to be provided :

• Catechism in French, in association with other organizations such as the French High School in Manhattan.
• Counseling services : Immigrants face special challenges due to being separated from loved ones for long periods Carrefour seeks solutions for marital or parental problems, or cases such as the deaths of family members whether overseas or in the U.S.
• Baptisms, weddings, funerals & anointing the sick : these services are to be created to attend to the specific needs of French-speaking immigrants in New York City. Offer assistance with burial services and/or repatriation of the deceased to their countries of origin.


TO SOLICIT, RECIEVE, ADMINISTER AND INVEST FUNDS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES : 

To that end :

• to take and hold by bequest, devise, gift, grant, purchase, lease or otherwise, either absolutely or jointly with any other person, persons or corporations, any property. Whether real, personal, tangible or intangible, or any undivided interest therein, without limitation as to amount or value;
• to sell, convey or otherwise dispose of any such property, and 
• to invest, reinvest, or deal with the principal or income thereof, all in such manner as, in the judgment of the directors, will best promote the purposes of the corporation without limitation, except such limitations, if any, as may be contained in the instrument under which such property is received, this certificate of incorporation or any laws applicable thereto.
